Five shells become a study in shape, repetition, and coastal pattern in this hand-carved linocut by Joan Pranata Bogart. The Santa Cruz artist often looks to nature for forms that can be simplified and repeated, giving her prints a rhythm that also reflects the influence of Indonesian batik.
Each 11 x 14 inch piece is hand-pressed, signed, and numbered on Stonehenge paper.
