Clear blue skies

Azure Sky is a bright, translucent light blue. With a blue or turquoise ink inside, the Azure Sky Kakuno looks especially cheerful.

The Madoromi series

Madoromi, the name of the Kakuno Azure Sky's series, is Japanese for the drowsy moment between waking and sleep. Pilot's Madoromi Kakunos come in five soft translucent shades, Nimbus Gray, Azure Sky, Rosy Dusk, Twilight Periwinkle and Cumulus White, and the Kakuno Azure Sky is one of them.

Made for learning to write

Like every Kakuno, the Kakuno Azure Sky was designed to introduce people to fountain pens, with a hexagonal barrel that will not roll off the desk, a shaped grip that guides your fingers, and a smiling face on the nib that shows you which way up to hold it.

Nib and filling

We offer the Kakuno Azure Sky with a steel nib in Fine or Medium. The Kakuno Azure Sky comes with a Pilot cartridge; add a Pilot converter, sold separately, to use bottled ink.
