The 849 shape
Caran d'Ache's 849 is one of the most recognisable pens in the world, with a slim hexagonal barrel that sits comfortably between the fingers and will not roll off the desk. The 849 Colormat-X Turquoise brings that design to a mechanical pencil.
Colormat-X finish
Colormat-X is Caran d'Ache's anodised colour finish, with a satin feel and a subtle sparkle. In Turquoise it is a bright, cheerful blue-green that is easy to find in a bag or pencil case.
For writing and sketching
The 0.7mm lead is strong enough for everyday notes and soft enough for quick sketches. Press the button to advance the lead, and refill with standard 0.7mm graphite leads.
